First-generation scholar and educator studying racialization, (im)migration, and identity.

I am an Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Department of Sociology and the Latin American and Latine Studies Program at Hamilton College.

My work centers inclusive, engaged teaching, an active research agenda on race, racism, and inequality, and intentional mentorship of students.

My research appears in journals including Annual Review of Sociology, Sociology of Race and Ethnicity, Ethnic and Racial Studies, and Sociology Compass. I earned my PhD in Sociology from the University of Florida with a focus on race and racism, (im)migration, and gender and sexuality.
