As a first-gen student, my teaching is deeply shaped by my own experiences navigating higher education.
Across my courses, students engage with rigorous sociological research while critically examining issues that shape their lives and the world around them. I center inclusive pedagogy as a core practice, creating classroom spaces where students feel seen, heard, and equipped to engage thoughtfully across difference. My courses also emphasize public sociology, encouraging students to apply sociological thinking beyond the classroom toward the betterment of society.
